Been Asked to Sign an Employment Settlement Agreement? Seek Advice Urgently…

Many of you will be suffering problems with your employment at the moment in these very difficult times.

If your employers are looking to terminate your employment you may be being required to enter into a Settlement Agreement/Compromise Agreement.

This is an Agreement reflecting the terms agreed by employer or employee (or not agreed) to regulate the termination of employment for whatever reason.

These Agreements are incredibly important because if entered into they prevent employees bringing any further action against their employers in respect of the employment situation or employment being terminated so it is vital employees get proper legal advice.

In addition, employers require employees to get legal advice on these agreements, because it is a legal requirement of them being valid and binding and the legal advisor is required to sign a certificate confirming that the appropriate advice has been given.

At the moment strict time limits are being imposed on getting these Agreements signed and it may be difficult to find a legal advisor to assist you with this as many are not working/not open for business etc.

If you require help with an urgent Settlement Agreement get in touch because we can deal with these instructions remotely in terms of going through the relevant paperwork and also deal with signatures remotely so that paperwork does not have to change hands.
